The lights off the clouds will make an excellent exercise in chiaroscuro. Need to pick up the brush again.

Visited the renovated Isabella Stewart Gardner museum. Not so inspired by furniture but found an unusual portrait and awesome crown.

Samurai armor

Over memorial day weekend, I went with Steve to see the Samurai! Exhibit at the MFA. I was blow away by the craftsmanship, artistry, and decoration. Only had 2 hours in the exhibit and these are my sketches.

Elisa's Birthday feb 2013

I made this the same afternoon as the camel daydream card in the previous post. I had gotten a free sheet of love/ Valentine's themed stickers from Urban Outfitters. I liked their whimsy and incorporated them into this card.

Sadly, Boston doesn't have memorable architecture like SF. I mean I guess I could pick out the night skyline if there was the Citgo sign.

Second snowfall

It had been relatively warm all this past week. Most of the snow had melted off so I had planned to bike to work this morning. No luck. Its snowing again!
